Responsibilities

  • Develop structural repair solutions and perform static strength analyses to determine appropriate usage criteria for nonconforming production parts and assemblies
  • Serve as a member of the Material Review Board (MRB) to evaluate and determine the disposition of nonconforming parts, assemblies, and processes
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and applicable requirements to identify opportunities to improve product manufacturability, serviceability, and reliability through Engineering Change Notices (ECNs)
  • Collaborate with Quality Control, Manufacturing, and other Engineering departments to identify and resolve engineering-related production issues
  • Provide engineering support to Quality Control and Manufacturing in the development and implementation of product and process improvements
  • Research technical, operational, manufacturing, and quality issues and develop appropriate engineering solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Develop structural repair solutions and/or perform static strength analyses for aircraft within the Epic Flight Support fleet
  • Support in-depth engineering projects involving Manufacturing, Mechanical Design, Structures, and Flight Test
  • Develop working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), applicable regulatory requirements, and associated engineering approval processes
  • Document engineering evaluations, analyses, repair instructions, and corrective actions in accordance with established procedures
  • Maintain a strong understanding of aircraft configuration, production processes, and engineering standards to support effective liaison between Engineering and Manufacturing
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required
