WHAT YOU'LL DO

As part of the Quality Assurance Department, the Dimensional Inspector is responsible for Inspecting parts or materials to meet required visual, dimensional, and test requirements of engineering drawings and specifications. Other expectations may include:

  • Perform first article and other inspections
  • Select inspection methods, determine test equipment, calibrate test equipment to standards, and evaluate results
  • Use measuring instruments like depth and bore gauges, calipers, and micrometers 
  • Write reports documenting activities and analyses and sign off various documents
  • Monitor and maintain test equipment and work area
  • Work with Engineering and other departments to accomplish goals
  • Other duties as assigned or required

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

  • 1+ years of experience in first article inspections 
  • Previous Aircraft Systems Experience
  • Prior experience as Quality Inspector working with machined & composite parts
  • Previous experience using a Faro Arm or CMM and GD&T
  • Ability to read and understand geometric tolerancing and dimensioning
  • Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Hand tool inspection skills
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of Quality
  • Composite experience is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of non-destructive testing (NDT) processes is desirable
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing requirements
  • Able to work well independently or in a team
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future
